Hello everybody out there in HeroClix land — this, once again, is Scott Porter!

I am here to invite you to our 2026 “HeroClix for Huntington’s” charity event weekend, taking place May 13th through May 17th, 2026. “HeroClix for Huntington’s” is held in partnership with WizKids, ROC, and the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA), and it is all to benefit HDSA and the fight against Huntington’s disease. Everyone who takes part in this event is a superhero to a family in need.

Over the last five years, this event has raised more than $250,000 for HDSA and the battle against Huntington’s disease. Each year, our community comes together for an incredible weekend of in-person gaming, fellowship, tournament play, battle royals, dinners, and more — all in support of families impacted by HD.

And we will have something for every HeroClix fan out there all weekend long. 

Our online auction continues to be the largest contributor to the success of this event, because it gives both attendees and those who cannot join us in person the chance to bid on incredible, hard-to-find, and one-of-a-kind items. Our community is packed with gamers and comic book fans from every corner of fandom, so whether you are joining us for the competition, the camaraderie, or the auction, there is going to be something for you.

Now, what is Huntington’s disease, and why is it worth battling for a cure? HD is a genetic neurodegenerative disease often referred to as having ALS, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s all rolled into one. It is called the “quintessential family disease” because every child of an HD-positive parent has a 50/50 chance of inheriting this destructive disease. There are approximately 50,000 symptomatic Americans battling HD, including my own mother-in-law, and more than 250,000 Americans who are gene-positive, like my own wife and her sister, or at risk of inheriting the disease.

As you can see, this is personal for me.

The HDSA motto is “Family is Everything,” and now I turn to you, my HeroClix family, for help. I have been a part of this incredible community since the day the game released. I have been a player, an envoy, an ambassador, and your unboxing guy for the better part of two decades, and I have seen firsthand the heart, generosity, and spirit this community brings every single time. I am humbly asking you to join us once again and help us battle this together.
